Getty Library
The Getty Library was founded in 1992 thanks to the generous donation of "The Getty Grant Program" which is managed by the John-Paul Getty Trust, located near Los Angeles, USA. The institution and several private sponsors have made it possible to build a new, publicly accessible reading room for 15 people, containing basic art history literature. The books are divided by field and alongside the most important monographs and catalogues, you can find large encyclopaedias and editions like Thieme-Becker-Vollmer, De Gruyter-Saur, Illustrated Bartsch, Reallexikon zur deutschen Kunstgeschichte, Universum der Kunst, Propyläen Kunstgeschichte, The Dictionary of Art, Iconclass, Dehio Handbuch, Vlastivěda moravská (Moravian National Geography) or Soupis památek Čech, Moravy a Slezska (Catalogue of Bohemian, Moravian and Silesian Monuments) etc.
