The premiere of a new film, Armenophobia: The Roots of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict
The Center for Early Medieval Studies cordially invites you to the premiere of a new film, “Armenophobia: The Roots of the Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict,” which uncovers the mechanisms that have led to today’s distorted view of Caucasian art and its value in the context of global medieval art production. Filmed against the backdrop of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, the film shows that these countries offer much more than pristine nature and tourist havens.
The screening will take place in the Representative Hall of the Brno City Hall (Zastupitelském sále radnice Brno-střed) on December 5 at 7:30 p.m. The entrance is from Dominikánská Street. (Map here)
The film was produced as part of the project Armenian Art and Culture: An Endangered Heritage in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Czech Republic and with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
