The opening ceremony will take place on 27 September at 18:30 in the premises of the Institute of the Memory of the Nation in Brno. The photographs will be on display at this location throughout the following month until 31 October. The exhibition complements the publication Ruský imperialismus: Umění, věda a náboženství ve službách režimu (1801–2023), authored by the head of the Centre for Early Medieval Studies, art historian Professor Ivan Foletti.

Professor Foletti invited his students to curate the exhibition. In addition to the photographs used in the book, they have selected other images from the author's archive that perfectly illustrate not only the theme of the book, but also the mood of Russia since the 1970s, when the photographer began documenting the country.

The lecture will be held in Czech only.
