Lifelong Learning – Art History

The lifelong learning programme is part of the accredited Bachelor’s degree programme in Art History. It is a fee‑based, full‑time, two‑semester programme designed mainly for applicants who wish to apply for the regular Bachelor’s degree in Art History at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University in the future.

The programme serves as a preparatory pathway to regular degree study. It is intended for applicants who:

  • passed the entrance examination but were not admitted due to limited capacity,
  • did not take the entrance examination,
  • or were not successful in the admissions process.

Students in the lifelong learning programme attend compulsory courses of the Bachelor’s degree programme in on‑site form. If they are later admitted to the regular programme, the credits they have earned are recognised.

Students are required to complete at least 40 credits.
One credit costs CZK 600, so the minimum total fee is CZK 24,000, depending on the number of credits taken.

The programme allows students to experience university study, develop their knowledge of art history, and assess their interest and aptitude for the field. It offers a systematic and focused preparation that can significantly improve their chances of success in the entrance examination.

An investment in education is an investment in the future.
